How Do I Sign Up to Volunteer?
Anyone who wishes to volunteer at a PCSSD school must complete a volunteer application prior to any assignment. This includes a background check conducted online at no cost to the volunteer. PCSSD partnered with Background Investigation Bureau to provide secure backgrounds checks for all volunteers. Click here to fill out the volunteer application. Once your background check is complete we will review and notify you by email when you have been approved. You will also receive a Secure Volunteer ID card by mail. The background check is done once every three years and your card will have the expiration date on it to remind you.
Volunteers should submit their hours for each day of service for a school. Volunteers hours are accumulated at each school and celebrated at the end of the school year at an awards breakfast. This annual event allows the district to show appreciation for our parents, grandparents and community volunteers. The volunteer breakfast honors those that have contributed 50 or more hours during the school year. This event is held in April every year.
