Good Afternoon, please remember that K-2 will finish up NWEA Map Winter Interim testing tomorrow with their Math test. Please review our testing expectations with your champion and be sure they make it to school on time. We still have a perfect attendance incentive going.
We're recognizing our school board members this month with a throwback to their high school days. First up, Lt. Eli Keller board member for zone 6. Keller graduated from American International School of Johannesburg (Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, South Africa) in 1996 for 11th & 12th grade. Prior to that he attended Bishop Mackenzie School (Lilongwe, Malawi) for 9th & 10th grade. He played rugby, track (1600m, 800m), basketball, soccer, & volleyball in high school. Tomorrow is make-up picture day for students who were absent the first time around. Pictures will begin at 8am and should wrap up quickly because there are not many students who missed.

The Yearbook Cover Design Contest deadline has now been extended to January 31, 2024.
Reminder: This year's yearbook is shaping up to be the best one yet! We need your help to design the cover! The Yearbook Cover Design Contest ends January 5 and is open to all CSES students Pre-K through 5th grade. Get your designs submitted, on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper to Mrs. Tull by January 5, 2024. Remember tomorrow is our Motown with Friends Winter Concert at Mills High School. Students need to arrive by 5:15pm. Doors open at 5:30pm. The concert will begin at 6pm.
Throughout December, we'll share tips on how important proper nutrition is for all ages.
Tip #2: Behavior problems due to malnutrition can be counteracted when children consume a balanced diet that includes protein, fat, complex carbohydrates, and fiber.
