Just a reminder! The Maumelle Middle Showcase is THIS THURSDAY (February 23) from 6-7:30pm. The Maumelle Middle Jazz band and choir will perform. Counselors will be on hand to assist with schedules and answer questions. There will be also be representatives from over 15 clubs and activities! This is a great opportunity for incoming 6th graders and others new to Maumelle Middle to learn more about our great school.

The administrative team had the very hard task of deciding a winner for our Black History Month Door Decorating Contest. We were impressed with ALL of the doors and I want to personally thank all of the teachers who participated in the contest. Drum roll please...........Our 3rd place winner and the recipient of a $20 Walmart card is Ms. Ashe. Our 2nd place winner and the recipient of a $40 Walmart card is Ms. Stewart-Jackson. Our winner of the 2023 Maumelle Middle Black History Month Door Decorating Contest and the recipient of a $60 Walmart card is Mrs. A. Johnson.

PBIS REFERRAL WARS! Each grade is competing to see who can have the FEWEST amount of referrals. Whichever grade has the fewest amount between February 15 and March 8th will receive a class party! To be eligible to attend the party, should your grade win, you must have no major referrals and 5 or fewer minors within the window of the competition.

The valuable data we gain from these assessments allows us to make evidence-based decisions when addressing your child's strengths, areas for improvement, and growth potential. Measuring academic growth is necessary to keep your child on track for college and career readiness. Our students rise to the challenge and we ask you to encourage your child to do the following for our testing dates: 1. Get plenty of sleep the night before testing 2. Have Chromebooks ready and charged when they come to school 3. Listen to teachers and follow testing directions 4. Exhibit good behavior with no distractions while testing 5.
