Attention parents, we just wanted to give you a heads up that a student inadvertently set off the fire alarm just before dismissal. Fire trucks and local law enforcement arrived on the scene shortly after as per protocol. We apologize for any inconvenience this cause during the school pick up process. Thank you for understanding.

January is School Board Appreciation Month. Thank you to Dr. Laurel Tait for her service to PCSSD and our students. In her spare time, Dr. Tait enjoys playing tennis. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Registration is now open for Pulaski County students who want to join the PCSSD family! School Choice applications are also open for students not zoned for PCSSD. Register online at www.pcssd.org

Happy Hanukkah! Tonight begins the 8-day Jewish festival. Each night a candle is lit on a menorah until all the candles are lit on the last day. Included in the festival, often called the Festival of Lights, are food, music, and games. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Choirs from JOE T. ROBINSON HIGH, SYLVAN HILLS ELEMENTARY, MAUMELLE HIGH, OAKBROOKE ELEMENTARY, and PINE FOREST ELEMENTARY recently performed at the State Capitol as part of the Sounds of the Season performance schedule. Congratulations, students! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

AVID students from SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE recently visited SYLVAN HILLS ELEMENTARY to read Christmas stories and mentor the younger students. The group visited a different grade each day. Both groups loved the chance to interact with one another.
