September was Attendance Awareness Month and we challenged all students to be a H.E.R.O. Students were tasked to be Here...Everyday...Ready...On time and we had some great results! SYLVAN HILLS JUNIOR HIGH had 3/4 weeks with 95% or higher attendance, with 1 week at 94%.
Students in AVID are learning about communication through team building. They're learning how to trust their team mate, communicate and give directions to be successful in these classroom challenges. These skills teach important life lessons beyond the classroom.
Today is World Mental Health Day, a day to raise awareness of mental health issues and highlight efforts to support mental health.
