Education has changed from what we are accustomed to; therefore, we face new challenges. Many of our students are not achieving academically to the point of receiving failing grades. This can be due to several factors: parents not being aware of the educational expectations for students, students not being aware of the educational expectations for themselves, lack of technical skills required for today’s education, and/or lack of resources to meet the demands.
Mills University Studies High School is providing a workshop for parents and community stakeholders. The workshop is entitled Education Today: What Every Parent Needs to Know; it will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at 6 pm, in the Mills High School cafeteria. Parents may attend in person or join us virtually. There is limited seating. All safety guidelines will be followed which include required face masks, social distancing, and temperature checks. It is our goal at Mills High to assist our parents and our community in providing the best educational outcomes for all of our students.
Please visit the DOCUMENTS tab on our website, mills@pcssd.org, and click on the FACE flyer to sign up to attend in person or virtually. Refreshments will be provided for in-person attendees.
